Browser script execution via unneutralized category names
Published May 31, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Fruits Bazar 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser through a category name. The admin/add_cata.php handler accepts ctg_name input and places the category name into generated page content without neutralizing executable markup. Exploitation requires high-privileged access and a user to view the affected content, exposing that user's browser session to attacker-controlled script.
