Unauthenticated code execution via fromAddressNat stack overflow
Published May 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC18 firmware 15.03.05.19(6318) allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted POST data. The fromAddressNat handler processes oversized entrys and mitInterface POST parameters without enforcing destination bounds, overwriting its stack. The network-reachable request requires no authentication or user interaction and can crash the router or redirect execution.
