Database disclosure via unsanitized metadata array
Published Jun 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Afian FileRun 20220202 allows remote authenticated users to read database data through a crafted metadata[] parameter. The fileman grid handler inserts metadata[] values into the quoted field_id IN list without sanitizing SQL syntax, so supplied predicates alter the query. A normal user account reaches the endpoint; exposed account, settings, and session data enables superuser takeover when session storage or mail settings permit it.
