Unauthenticated file read via unchecked path concatenation
Published May 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in gphper ginadmin 0.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read files outside its log directory via crafted paths. The GetDir and View handlers concatenate the path query parameter beneath RootPath and pass it to directory or file operations without verifying that the resolved path remains under the log directory. No authentication or user interaction is required; the consequence is unauthorized file disclosure, not modification or service interruption.
