Code execution via unrestricted profile image upload
Published May 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in oretnom23 Merchandise Online Store 1.0 allows attackers to execute PHP code through a profile image upload. The Users.php save handler accepts a multipart img field containing a PHP file, writes it under /vloggers_merch/uploads, and leaves it web-accessible for execution. The published request carries a PHP session cookie and edits the administrator profile, but the report does not establish whether the save endpoint enforces authentication.
