Heap corruption via Layout use-after-free
Published Sep 26, 2022 · Updated May 21, 2025
Use-after-free in Google Chrome Layout before 105.0.5195.52 allows remote attackers to corrupt heap via a crafted HTML page. The Layout component accesses heap memory after it has been freed while processing attacker-supplied HTML. Exploitation requires a victim to load the crafted page; successful corruption can compromise confidentiality, integrity, or availability, while a crash is the bounded direct impact described publicly.
