Database disclosure via unneutralized featured-item ID
Published May 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Merchandise Online Store 1.0 allows remote attackers to read database data through a crafted featured-item ID. The delete_featured handler in classes/Master.php processes the POST id value without neutralizing SQL metacharacters, allowing an error-based updatexml payload to disclose the active database name. The published request carries an administrative referrer and PHP session cookie, so the public proof does not establish endpoint reachability without authentication.
