Authenticated arbitrary file deletion via unchecked path
Published May 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Arbitrary file deletion in Merchandise Online Store 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to delete server files via a crafted path. The delete_img action in classes/Master.php accepts the POST path value and deletes the named file without restricting it to managed images or the web root. A valid administrator session is required, and exploitation can remove any file writable by the web-server account, interrupting the application or destroying its data.
