Role escalation via insufficiently authorized role assignment

Incorrect authorization in OvalEdge 5.2.8.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to assign user roles through an HTTP request. The /user/assignuserrole endpoint accepts userid and role parameters in a POST request without adequately constraining the requested assignment. An OE_ADMIN session is required, and exploitation grants a selected account privileges beyond the attacker's existing authority.
