CVE-2022-30319

Authentication bypass via spoofed S-Bus client identity

Published Jul 28, 2022 · Updated Nov 20, 2024

Authentication bypass in Saia Burgess Controls PCD controllers through 2022-05-06 allows attackers to access engineering functions. S-Bus authentication on UDP port 5050 stores an authenticated client's MAC/IP pair in a whitelist, then accepts spoofable datagrams as that client. Exploitation requires passive observation of an authenticated client's traffic and permits control-logic transfers and controller-configuration changes.
