CVE-2022-30312

Credential disclosure via cleartext IC protocol

Published Sep 7, 2022 · Updated Jun 17, 2025

Cleartext credential transmission in Honeywell Trend Controls IQ Series controllers allows attackers on the local network to capture authentication data. The Inter-Controller protocol sends its four-digit PIN and optional web usernames and passwords without encryption over UDP port 57612. Passive local OT network access is sufficient to read credentials that authorize controller strategy or configuration changes.
