Authenticated file retrieval and deletion via path traversal
Published Jul 18, 2022 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
Path traversal in FortiDeceptor 1.0.0 through 4.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to read and delete arbitrary files. The management interface accepts crafted web-request paths containing relative traversal sequences and resolves them without confining access to intended filesystem directories. A valid management-interface account and network access to the administrative service are required; successful requests expose file contents or delete files.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
