DNS cache poisoning via predictable transaction IDs

DNS cache poisoning in uClibc-ng through 1.0.40 and uClibc through 0.9.33.2 allows remote attackers to redirect DNS clients. The dns_lookup function creates requests without adequately randomizing the DNS transaction ID, making successive identifiers predictable. Exploitation requires predicting the identifier and source port and winning a race against the legitimate DNS response; success inserts a forged DNS answer that redirects subsequent traffic.
