CVE-2022-30277

Sensitive-data access and modification via lingering sessions

Published Jun 1, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Insufficient session expiration in BD Synapsys 4.20, 4.20 SR1, and 4.30 allows physically proximate attackers to access or alter sensitive data. The application's session-timeout handling leaves an authenticated workstation session usable for an extended period instead of expiring it. Exploitation requires customer-environment access, physical workstation access, low privileges, and user interaction; exposed ePHI, PHI, or PII can be read, modified, or deleted.
