Firmware integrity failure in Motorola ACE1000 RTU through 2022-05-02 allows remote authenticated users to install malicious firmware. The Web UI and SSH update paths accept system, application, and FEP images without a digital signature, relying only on insecure checksums. Reaching either path requires an administrative session; successful replacement enables code execution or a service interrupt.
