Improper authentication in Motorola ACE1000 RTU through 2022-05-02 allows remote attackers to access SSH using default credentials. The device exposes SSH on port 22/TCP and preconfigures five accounts with default credentials; the cappl and ace accounts are undocumented. Network reachability and unchanged credentials grant remote maintenance and SFTP access through the affected accounts.
