Improper access control in Contec CMS8000 Patient Monitor firmware allows attackers to write files through a malicious Wi-Fi SSID. The Wi-Fi configuration path accepts non-standard SSID characters without proper control or sanitization when the monitor connects. Exploitation requires connection to an attacker-controlled nearby access point and can write arbitrary files or corrupt displayed information.
