CVE-2022-30238Network attack vector

Admin account takeover via session hijacking

Published Jun 2, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Improper authentication in Schneider Electric Wiser Smart before 4.5 allows remote authenticated users to take over the admin account. The vendor discloses only that a hijacked session is accepted for administrative access; it does not identify the endpoint, token, or validation error. Exploitation requires an existing authenticated session to be hijacked and grants control of the administrator account, including data access, modification, and limited service interruption.
