CVE-2022-30232Network attack vector

Remote code execution via modified network request

Published Jun 2, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Improper input validation in Schneider Electric PowerLogic ION Setup before 3.2.22096.01 allows remote attackers to execute code. The vendor states that a modified request triggers the flaw but does not identify the parsing locus or the incorrect validation operation. Exploitation requires request interception on the same network or configuration access to an ION device, and the vendor assessment also requires user interaction.
