Unauthenticated credential changes via privileged API functions
Published Jun 14, 2022 · Updated Nov 12, 2025
Missing authentication in Siemens SICAM GridEdge (Classic) before 2.6.6 allows remote attackers to change a known user's credentials. Privileged web API functions accept user-data changes without verifying an authenticated session. Knowledge of the target user's identifier is required, and successful exploitation changes that account's data, including credentials.
