Unauthorized request execution via missing CORS restrictions
Published Jun 14, 2022 · Updated Nov 12, 2025
Origin validation error in Siemens SICAM GridEdge (Classic) before 2.6.6 allows remote attackers to execute critical requests. The web server omits CORS restrictions for critical operations, allowing attacker-controlled cross-origin content to submit a malicious request. Exploitation requires a legitimate user to access an attacker-chosen resource; Siemens does not identify the affected endpoint or resulting operation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
