Improper authorization in Microsoft Windows Server RVSS allows remote authenticated users to gain elevated privileges over the network. The FssAgentRPC server accepts shadow-copy requests without enforcing local Administrator or Backup Operator membership. A network-authenticated account can perform privileged shadow-copy creation or deletion against remote SMB shares without the required file-server role.
