CVE-2022-30114Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Router reboot via oversized Authorization header

Published May 19, 2023 · Updated Jan 21, 2025

Heap-based buffer overflow in Fastweb FASTGate FGA2130FWB and DGA4131FWB firmware allows remote attackers to reboot the router. The cmproxy executable copies an Authorization header longer than 100 bytes into a fixed buffer without validating its length while processing HTTP through FastCGI. No authentication or user interaction is required; affected firmware precedes the published version boundaries, and corruption crashes cmproxy and reboots the device.
