CVE-2022-30078Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unsanitized IPv6 parameters

Published Sep 7, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Command injection in NETGEAR R6200v2 through 1.0.3.12_10.1.11 and R6300v2 through 1.0.4.52_10.0.93 allows remote authenticated users to run commands. In /sbin/acos_service, ipv6_fix.cgi stores four unchecked IPv6 address and length values in NVRAM, then sprintf inserts them into a string passed to system. Valid router credentials and web-interface access are required; successful injection runs attacker-chosen commands on the router.
