CVE-2022-3007

Firmware modification via unauthenticated Bluetooth DFU writes

Published Oct 31, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Missing authorization in Syska SW100 Smartwatch V2 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to modify firmware over Bluetooth. The Nordic DFU service accepts unauthenticated writes of arbitrary values to a BLE handle used for over-the-air firmware updates. Bluetooth proximity is required; exploitation permits unauthorized firmware updates, device reboots, or data manipulation.
