Authenticated PHP code execution via cron configuration write
Published Mar 23, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
Code injection in XunRuiCMS 4.3.3 through 4.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP through the cron task editor. The Admin Cron.php add() function writes unsanitized task data into WRITEPATH/config/cron.php, which the CMS later includes as executable PHP. Administrator access or permission to manage Application > Task Queue is required, and successful exploitation runs code in the web server context.
