Administrator session theft via stored user-field script
Published May 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Simple Food Website 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser through user profile fields. The user-management flow stores a moderator-supplied Full User Name value and later renders it in the administrative portal without preventing embedded script from executing. A moderator account and an administrator viewing the stored record are required; the demonstrated consequence is theft of the administrator's session cookie.
