Hard-coded credentials in Emerson DeltaV FTP services through 2022-04-29 allow local users to gain unauthorized FTP access. The FTP service on affected controllers and I/O cards accepts a fixed credential embedded in the device instead of a per-deployment secret. The service is disabled by default, and exploitation requires low privileges plus user interaction; successful use is limited to operations available to the embedded FTP account.
