CVE-2022-29958Network attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unsigned control logic

Published Jul 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Insufficient code-authenticity checks in all listed JTEKT TOYOPUC PLC versions allow remote attackers to execute code via CMPLink/TCP. The engineering protocol accepts block-by-block control logic containing attacker-supplied memory addresses and machine-code blobs without cryptographic authentication. No credentials or user interaction are required; absent memory protection and privilege separation on the PC10G-CPU give injected logic full runtime control.
