Unauthenticated controller file access via TDI protocols
Published Jul 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authentication in Bently Nevada condition monitoring equipment allows remote attackers to read or write controller files via TDI protocols. The TDI command and data services on TCP ports 60005 and 60007 accept configuration-management and historical-data operations without authenticating the peer. Network reachability to either service is sufficient, and invoked functionality can alter controller files or interrupt device service.
