Sensitive information leakage via malicious web page
Published Jan 30, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in EcoStruxure Machine Expert - HVAC before 1.4.0 allows remote attackers to leak data via a malicious web page. Public vendor material does not identify the affected parser or buffer operation beyond stating that the commissioning software performs an out-of-bounds write while accessing the page. Exploitation requires a user to open attacker-controlled web content from the commissioning application, and the documented consequence is limited to sensitive-information leakage.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
