Protected-image disclosure via implicit session grant
Published Jun 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper access control in Silverstripe Assets 1.10.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to publish protected images. ImageShortcodeProvider::regenerate_shortcode() resolves a supplied image ID and calls getURL() with its session-grant default, granting access while rebuilding the shortcode. CMS page-author access and permission to publish edited content are required; the protected image becomes accessible through the published page.
