Victim-context script execution via unblocked media types
Published Dec 26, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025
Cross-site scripting in OX App Suite 8.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's session via a shared file. The backend output filter treats BMFreehand10 and image/x-freehand uploads as safe images, allowing browsers to render disguised JavaScript inline instead of forcing a download. Exploitation requires access to the same instance and a victim who follows a shared hyperlink, enabling session hijacking or unwanted web-interface actions.
