Command execution via disguised EPS document conversion
Published Oct 24, 2022 · Updated May 7, 2025
OS command injection in OX App Suite 7.10.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute commands through crafted document conversion. The documentconverter treats EPS content disguised as a PDF as convertible input and invokes Ghostscript without reliably enforcing the declared file type. Exploitation requires the non-default Ghostscript configuration and executes commands with the privileges of the documentconverter service.
