Buffer overflow in the FTP service of Western Digital My Cloud OS 5 before 5.26.119 allows remote attackers to execute code. The FTP server copies attacker-controlled data into a fixed-length buffer without validating its length, causing memory corruption. Reachability requires access to the adjacent network and an enabled FTP service; successful exploitation executes code as root and can fully compromise the NAS.
