Use of a weak hash in Western Digital WD Discovery before 4.4.396 allows remote attackers to expose user content via forged signatures. The application's executable files carry SHA-1 code-signing signatures, whose collision weakness permits a forged certificate signature to be accepted as trusted. Exploitation requires interaction with attacker-controlled signed content, and the documented consequence is limited to disclosure of user content.
