CVE-2022-29831Network attack vector

Project information disclosure via hard-coded password

Published Nov 24, 2022 · Updated Apr 25, 2025

Hard-coded password use in Mitsubishi Electric GX Works3 1.015R through 1.095Z allows remote attackers to read safety CPU project data. A hard-coded password defeats protection of an obtained safety CPU project file; code-level details were deliberately withheld. Possession of one associated project file is required, after which project details and registered safety CPU usernames are exposed.
