CVE-2022-29826Network attack vector

Information disclosure via cleartext sensitive-data storage

Published Nov 24, 2022 · Updated Apr 25, 2025

Cleartext storage in GX Works3 1.000A through 1.087R and Motion Control Setting 1.000A through 1.042U allows remote attackers to read sensitive data. The products store sensitive project information in cleartext, but Mitsubishi Electric has not identified the exact file, field, or network retrieval path. Exploitation requires access from an untrusted network or host to files on the engineering workstation and can expose programs and project files, enabling unauthorized program execution.
