Local code execution via Quick Documentation links
Published Apr 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Code injection in JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA before 2022.1 allows local users to execute code through Quick Documentation links. JetBrains has not published which link handler or validation failure turns an untrusted Quick Documentation link into executable code. Exploitation requires high local privileges and user interaction; the vendor assessment limits the consequence to data access and modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
