Stored XSS via project icon
Published Apr 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in JetBrains Hub before 2022.1.14638 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in project views via a crafted project icon. Hub stores the attacker-supplied icon content without adequate neutralization before rendering it in project pages. Exploitation requires a user account able to modify a project and a victim to open the affected project view, enabling theft of accessible data or actions in the victim session without a direct service outage.
