AI service interruption via invalid model weights
Published May 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper input validation in HiAIserver in HarmonyOS 2.0 and EMUI 12.0.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt AI services. HiAIserver fails to strictly validate weight values embedded in a supplied model before the AI service processes them. Network access is sufficient, and exploitation produces AI service exceptions rather than reported data disclosure or code execution.
