Cookie credential disclosure via cleartext HTTP
Published May 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cleartext credential exposure in Delta Controls enteliTOUCH 3.33.4005, 3.40.3706, and 3.40.3935 allows attackers to intercept HTTP cookies. The device's web interface transmits and stores HTTP Cookie authentication credentials without encryption, exposing authentication material to network capture. Attackers must obtain a man-in-the-middle position on the communication path; the documented consequence is credential disclosure, not data modification or service interruption.
