Improper password length validation in Zammad 5.1.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt service through oversized password verification. The account password configuration path accepts extremely long values, and the authentication path performs resource-intensive verification without an enforced upper bound. Exploitation requires a workflow that permits attacker-controlled password configuration; the documented consequence is server interruption, not data access or modification.
