CVE-2022-2969Network attack vector

Arbitrary file creation via unvalidated opcua filename

Published Dec 1, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Path traversal in Delta Electronics DIALink before 1.5.0.0 Beta 4 allows remote attackers to create arbitrary files through its web service. The TCP port 5000 opcua endpoint passes an insufficiently validated filename parameter into file operations, allowing paths outside the intended directory. Authentication is nominally required but can be bypassed, and created files run only if another execution path loads them in the web-service context.
