Telnet access via embedded static password
Published May 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use of hard-coded credentials in TOTOLINK A3100R firmware allows remote attackers to authenticate to Telnet with a static password. The /web_cste/cgi-bin/product.ini file embeds a reusable password instead of obtaining a device-specific secret. Network reachability to Telnet is sufficient; public sources do not identify the account privilege or document post-login capabilities.
