Unauthenticated browser script execution via unencoded URL parameters
Published Jun 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure Design Time Repository 7.30, 7.31, 7.40, and 7.50 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via a crafted URL. DTR fails to encode user-controlled URL parameters before placing them in generated web pages, enabling reflected script execution when a victim follows the link. No authentication is required; successful exploitation permits viewing or modifying application information, with confidentiality and integrity impact limited to the application context.
