CVE-2022-29610Network attack vector

Stored XSS via malicious theme-file upload

Published May 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Stored XSS in SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 753 through 756 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through theme files. The CA-UI2-THD custom-theme upload path accepts malicious single-file content without adequately neutralizing browser-executable input, while the same interface also permits theme-data deletion. Exploitation requires an authenticated account and user interaction with the stored theme content, and its reported effects are script execution in a viewer’s browser and deletion of theme data.
