Unauthenticated command execution via set_route
Published May 5, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in Tenda TX9 Pro firmware 22.03.02.10 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through set_route. The doSystemCmd_route path calls set_route with attacker-controlled route input without neutralizing command syntax before execution. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation executes commands with the affected router service's privileges.
