Cross-institution group disclosure via unscoped pagination
Published Apr 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Mahara before 20.10.5, 21.04.4, 21.10.2, and 22.04.0 allows remote attackers to view other institutions' groups. The group results list applies institution scoping to its first page but returns all groups from page 2 when more than ten groups exist. Exposure requires Isolated Institutions and enough groups to trigger pagination; the disclosed data is limited to group listings.
