Code execution via encoded URI path traversal

Path traversal in Google app 10.61 through 13.41 allows attackers to execute code on an Android device through a crafted encoded URI. An affected ContentProvider uses Uri.getLastPathSegment without canonical-path validation, so encoded traversal segments resolve outside the intended directory. Exploitation requires a malicious app to supply the URI and user interaction, after which files accessible to the Google app can be reached and device code execution follows.
